Potholder

Hi everyone! How are things in your part of the world? Nothing interesting here. Life goes on. The potholder shown above is from my Etsy shop. Maddie who purchased this pattern from me shared pictures of her finished item with me. She has made plenty of them in different colors and they are all just amazing and makes me feel so proud :)

With her permission, here are some of the photos of her finished items. Aren't they wonderful?

You can find more details about it on her Ravelry page here. Thanks for sharing, Maddie.

If any of you have made anything using my pattern I would LOVE to see them and would be happy if you share them with me.

Also, I have opened a shop in Ravelry. I have been a member for some time now but I didn't understand Ravelry (even now I don't), so I didn't do anything further after joining and just forgot about it.  Only yesterday I uploaded some patterns after great difficulty figuring out how to go about it. You can check it out here. I hope to become more familiar with Ravelry soon.

Thanks for all your comments and thanks for being my friends.

More new patterns

I am crocheting like crazy nowadays. These are my latest additions to the shop. The one showed above is the flower hat. Those stitches do resemble tiny petals, yes?

The one below is the summer hat in a refreshing citrus color with a cute grey bow. Both patterns are available for sale in my Etsy shop.

Thanks for stopping by and have a nice day!

Can I call this a cheesecake?

I have never tasted a cheesecake, but I always wanted to make one. Cheesecakes are not commonly available here but I have seen plenty of pictures of delicious cheesecakes and drooled enough. Yesterday was a perfect day for experimenting. The main ingredient for cheesecake which is cream cheese is also not available here but that was not going to stop me. I had made up my mind and I just went ahead with whatever I had at hand even though I didn't have ANY of the main ingredients. I didn't have cream cheese, I didn't have biscuits for the crumb base. I should say this is the craziest recipe I have ever tried.

Surprising it turned out GOOD! No, I wouldn't say it was heavenly, but it was good and the whole cake disappeared within an hour or two.

Sorry, I can't share the recipe with you as there was no proper recipe here. I will just say what I did. I took some paneer (I think it is an equivalent to cottage cheese). I added some yoghurt to it and blended well. Then I added one egg, few spoons of powdered sugar and flour. Mixed them all well and baked. Then I cooled it and poured strawberry flavoured jelly on top of it and allowed it to set in the refrigerator for an hour or so.

I am happy that my craziest receipe did not turn out to be a diaster. Does it mean that I am turning into a good baker?

After gulping down the "supposed to be cheesecake," me and my kiddo made a short trip to the park. This time of the year is the best in Delhi and we can find plenty of flowers everywhere. I hadn't been out a lot recently and yesterday we made this trip especially to get some flower photographs before the season ends.

Beautiful, aren't they?

Granny drawstring bag

Bags are always fun to make. There are endless possibilities; you can make them simple, complicated, plain, colorful, formal, rustic, chic... you can make handbags, office bags, coin purse, mobile pouch, lunch bag... you just have to use your imagination.

I wanted a bag to hold my camera. I wanted it to be easy to make. I have crocheted bags before but never a drawstring type. Then I hit upon this idea to use granny squares to create this beautiful drawstring bag. I am extremely pleased with the results and using it as my camera bag now.

The pattern is available in my Etsy shop. I have also started selling in Craftsy. I don't have many patterns there right now. I am adding though. You can download patterns instantly after making payments in Craftsy unlike Etsy where you have to wait for the e-mail to arrive. So if you are interested you can have a look around there.

I am working on a cute pattern right now. I am about to finish it. Hopefully I will be here again within a couple of days.

Thanks for being here and thanks for following. I may not say it often but I really appreciate your support and you all mean a lot to me.

Have a nice day!
